Cardio-Thoracic Surgery - Physician at DMC Adult Central Campus - Tenet Healthcare summary:

The Cardiothoracic Surgeon provides full-time cardiothoracic surgical services at multiple Detroit Medical Center hospitals, including ICU rounding and trauma coverage. The role includes outpatient clinics, surgery based on case load, and shared weekend and holiday call responsibilities. Tenet Healthcare along with Detroit Medical Center is actively seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an existing group of Cardiologists who provide cardiology services to patients of the Detroit Medical Center health system in Metro Detroit, Michigan. This is a full-time, employed opportunity with the Detroit Medical Group/Tenet Physician Resources.

What to Expect / Key Responsibilities:

1. Full-time Employed & Benefitted Position
2. Position provides services primarily to Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage for Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital (Adult Central Campus)
3. Monday-Friday Schedule (Outpatient clinic 1–2 days per week. OR time based on case load and consults from ER.)
4. Weekends and holiday call coverage are shared with the group of two cardio thoracic surgeons (Level 1 Trauma Thoracic coverage)
5. Required inpatient rounding including the ICU units.
6. 2 CT surgical PAs are available to assist with rounding and call.

Requirements:

1. Board Certification
2. Active MI Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
