Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Azle, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure network solutions to support our organizational needs. This role requires a proactive detail oriented individual capable of leading complex projects while ensuring optimal performance and reliability across all network systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust network architectures, including wireless, cloud-integrated, and enterprise environments.
• Develop comprehensive network documentation, such as detailed diagrams, IP address plans, and configuration guidelines.
• Lead advanced network projects, including system upgrades, new deployments, and infrastructure migrations.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and optimize network performance, scalability, and security.
• Manage and maintain critical network devices, including Aruba switches, routers, Palo Alto firewalls, and Aruba wireless controllers.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of network components supporting field communications and advanced metering infrastructure.
• Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, spam filters, and other protective systems, to ensure network compliance and risk mitigation.
• Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve network efficiency and align with long-term organizational goals.
• Provide mentorship to entry level staff and support their detail oriented growth.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and lead recovery efforts during network outages or incidents.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network design and administration.
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNP or CISSP.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking, including HP/Aruba routing, HP/Aruba switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and HP/Aruba wireless systems.
• Strong expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
• Proficiency in network monitoring, security, and performance optimization tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with a focus on documentation and team collaboration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to address complex network issues.
