Tasting Room and Events Associate Location Forest Grove, OR :

SakéOne, the premier producer and importer of saké in the United State. We are a small private business located in beautiful Forest Grove. We're looking for a dynamic, charismatic and hard-working individual to fill a part-time Tasting Room position. This position is primarily for fill in work on the weekends in the tasting room, as well as off-site festivals, events and demos. Hours can vary by season and events. The primary function of this position is to help assist in service and sales and to promote enjoyment and education of our products. This position is excellent for anyone hoping to get their foot in the door in the alcohol industry!

Primary Tasks:

• Provide tireless face-to-face and over-the-phone service to all our guests
• Host entertaining, informative and memorable tasting experiences
• Handle routine purchases through the POS system
• Guide guests on detailed tours of the brewery
• Promote sales of our products and merchandise in the Tasting Room
• Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies as well as applicable laws.
• Maintain cleanliness of Tasting Room, office, kitchen areas and bathrooms
• Work off-site festivals, events and demos

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Have a valid driver's license and a reliable source of transportation
• Have a valid OLCC Permit & Food Handler's card or ability to acquire within 30 days of hire
• Retail experience is a positive
• Wine, beer and/or saké knowledge is strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal people and customer service skills
• Holiday and weekend availability is a must (we are closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas)
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs regularly
• Able to multi-task
• Tasting room experience a plus but not essential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 0.5 - 25 per week
