Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I trauma setting requiring 3 years of OR RN experience and current BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Level I trauma Operating Room within a short-term acute care hospital
• Handles a wide range of cases including general, plastic, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, and colorectal robotics
• Average daily census is 70-80 with 21 operating rooms
• Day shifts are 3x12 hours, 7:00 to 19:30, with required weekend coverage every Saturday and Sunday plus one rotating weekday
• Six call shifts required within each six week period
• Floating required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR, prior Cerner experience required
• RNs are expected to be well-rounded in most OR specialties except CV and transplant
• Must work two out of three major holidays during the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests of five days or less are auto-approved
• Scrubs are provided
• Parking is free

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IN or compact state RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 3 years of recent operating room RN experience, including at least one year in a Level I trauma setting
• Experience with circulating required; scrub experience preferred
• Degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Returned employees must have been away from the facility for at least 12 months before reapplying as a traveler
